People Helped
While food insecurity has been a longstanding issue, the impact of COVID-19 has created a scenario where substantially more people are going to bed hungry or choosing not to purchase necessary mediations. By partnering with the Community Food Bank, Catilize was able to provide meals to over 50,000 people in need. In a letter of appreciation, Charla Irwin-Buncher, Chief development Officer of the local Community Food Bank, writes:
Many neighbors will continue to struggle for months, maybe even years to come. This is why your gift is so meaningful, especially today. Because of you, we will continue to provide vital services throughout our communities – Working to ensure children don’t go to bed hungry, seniors don’t have to choose between food and medicine, and that all of our neighbors have the nutrition they need.
